Hidden Still Spirits and the David E. Lineup

by

Marshall and I met Dave Stein, founder of Hidden Still Spirits, in 2015. Having just leased our first office space on Willow Street in Downtown Lebanon, we were only a few blocks away from his new Distillery and Restaurant. (How lucky were we?!) Our first professional collaboration with Dave was to interview him for a featured article in our local publication, The Table Magazine. At the time, Dave was building every aspect of his business from the ground up. It was an intense period of establishing a reputation for quality – for both of our businesses.

As Dave’s vision for Hidden Still Spirits was becoming a reality, he knew it was time to make some changes. In early 2019, he reached out to us to design a new marketing piece. Then we updated the restaurant menus. After a few more small projects, we had finally earned his trust enough to be tasked with a full redesign of the David E. and his flagship line of spirits.

The stakes had never been higher. No detail was overlooked. Our design process considered everything from shelf appeal to tooling charges and paper selection. Each step was labored over, but no time was wasted. Because once the decision to redesign was made, his anticipation for launch was palpable.

The years have flown by since those early days and we feel fortunate to have had a front-row seat as Hidden Still Spirits made the move from a young start-up on Willow Street to an established company on their beautifully renovated property in Hershey, PA.

We went from hand delivering small batches of locally printed labels to facilitating large-scale print deliveries. As both of our businesses continue to adapt and grow, we will always remember how the story began, and treasure the relationships we’ve built with the entire team at Hidden Still Spirits.
